Chip Bennett

Chip has always loved and continues to love all outdoor activities including fishing, hunting, and camping. Fishing though, is a hobby that always seems to take precedent in his free time. Over the years he has enjoyed catching all species of fish including largemouth and smallmouth bass, redfish, and saltwater fish including permit, bonefish, and yellowtail.
Chip is currently President of the Hodag Bassmaster Fishing Club and enjoys fishing club tournaments. Chip and a teammate posted a strong season finish last year by winning the 2020 Rod Gaskill Memorial Tournament.
His current boat is a 1998 Triton 19 with a 150 Mercury Optimax. He has a MinnKota Ultrex with SpotLock and two 12” Humminbird Helixes – one at the console and one at the bow.
Travis DeGolier

Travis DeGolier has been fishing and hunting as long as he can remember. He now enjoys Fishing, Hunting, Camping, Kayaking and Biking with his wife Mallory, and two sons, Logan and Jordan. They primarily target Smallmouth and Largemouth Bass, but never pass up a good bite for panfish, walleye, pike, musky or even dogfish. When he was 10 years old, his dad had him start a fishing log and he has kept this log going ever since. He writes every fish the family catches in that log and notes the biggest fish from each trip. He also includes the lake, time fished, and any other import information from the trip.
Travis started tournament fishing while he was in high school. He got into a couple smaller opens and has been fishing tournaments ever since. He started off basically only throwing spinnerbaits and crankbaits, but currently feels he is well rounded and successful with many different techniques. That said, he is always learning and trying new things. He currently fishes, and is Tournament Director, with the Hodag Bassmaster Fishing Club, while also fishing a few opens when his schedule allows it. He likes the competition of tournaments but also feels it is a great way to learn new things, especially the club format. He has had good success at the club level and was able to win the 2020 Rod Gaskill Memorial Tournament with his teammate.
Travis currently runs a 2003 Ranger 195 DVS powered by a 200HP Mercury. He spends his fishing time using a Minn Kota Ultrex trolling motor and loves the options the spot-lock and GPS features give him. He uses Humminbird 898’s with Lakemaster chips for navigation and finding fish and structure. If you see this father and family on the water, take the time to stop and talk fishing.
